This page explains how SwingPuzzles approaches historical content on daily puzzles, hubs, entities, and collections — including research, verification, corrections, and what we do not claim.
What we publish
Daily pages combine a playable puzzle image with editorial text: a short summary, labeled key facts when available, a longer story, and often FAQ or timeline sections. Hub, entity, and collection pages aggregate related days with unique intros and FAQs.
Puzzle framing is part of the product experience. Historical claims in the article are meant to stand on their own as educational reading.
How historical facts are verified
Editors cross-check dates, names, places, and outcomes against reputable secondary sources such as encyclopedias, museum and archive summaries, and established reference works. When sources disagree, we prefer the more widely attested account and avoid speculative detail.
Key Facts fields (date, location, people, why it matters, category) are structured so readers and search systems can extract the same core claims that appear in the prose.
Corrections
If we discover a factual error, we update the affected page. Significant corrections may also be noted in the story when context matters. Contact us via the Contact page if you believe something is wrong — include the page URL and a reliable source when possible.
Independence & limits
SwingPuzzles is not a primary archive or academic journal. We write for a general audience and may simplify complex debates. We do not invent quotations, fabricate sources, or present AI-generated history without editorial review.
Affiliate or gift-product messaging, when present, is separate from historical article claims.
